Automatic pit stops

Automatic pit stops

Please note that the pit stops cannot simply be switched off. However, there is a way to bypass them. You can read about how to do this here.

Every driver has to make a pit stop from time to time. If you use the Pitstop track, there are different types of pit stop: tyre change, engine failure or refuelling. These pit stops are automatically controlled by the track and cannot be switched off. You can read more about pit stops here. When the pit stop symbol lights up on the pit stop track, the driver must stop in the marked stop area and wait for the stop to be completed.

If you do not use the pit stop track, there will still be automatic pit stops. The car stops automatically and is automatically released to drive again after a short pause.
